The pool still looks horrible. We can see parts of the bottom again. I HOPE that it will be clear by this NEXT weekend.
--still very ticked off about it, but trying to stay chill.
The kidlet is going to 1/2 day camps this week. I'm pretty sure she'll have fun.
I WILL write. There I said it. I also promised to workout. I'll do both, but I really want to do the writing part of the equation. If I make headway on this story, I'll start posting my stats again. Maybe I should add my weight goal as a sample of humiliation. NAH, I won't do that. I need to lose more than I'd care to admit.
I have two possible blog topics: character motivation and POV, but I can't seem to get them written the way I'd like.
Later gators!
Write on!
You and I have the same goals for the week: write and lose weight. Good luck to both of us!
ReplyDeleteUgh, me, three. I'd like to drop whatever I can before I have my knee surgery next month. Unfortunately, I think I tore the meniscus again yesterday, so serious exercise is out.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with weight and the older woman?? It sucks. I wanted to graze even though I'm not hungry, so I'm eating carrot and celery sticks. ICK! I'd rather be eating the leftover brownie pudding, but am resisiting.
ReplyDeleteI think it's hormonal. Hormones shift, and therefore metabolism shifts. Part of it is genetic. I come from a set of slim genes and my weight hasn't changed during most of my adult life. People kept warning me I'd 'get fat' when I reached 35...then 40...then 45....then 50......they've finally shut up.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I HAVE noticed a 'shift' in where ANY extra calories at all prefer to settle. IF ONLY we could put it where we needed/wanted it.....
I've had to fight the weight battle all my life, but I have to admit that when I sold Buster--I started gaining. Guess riding helped hold my weight down. I've started eating healthier, drinking tons of H2O, and walking. If nothing else, it should slow the process down a little.
ReplyDeleteOh, BTW, I hate you, Jody! :-)
One of my Med Tech friends had to go on a milkshake diet to GAIN weight--she stopped eating when she was stressed--wish I had that problem.
I'm the same way - when I get stressed I stop eating, and sleep A LOT...exactly the opposite of most people.
ReplyDeleteBut then, I've never been normal in any way, shape or form.
