About two months ago, my friend Cyndi complained about having to put in the captcha words to post a comment.
So I decided to make it easier. I allowed all posts, but I required moderation for everything, which means I have to approve the posts prior to them showing up.
--so if you post something and it doesn't immediately show up, it's because I haven't seen it yet to approve it.
Within less than 24 hours of the captcha removal, the spambots arrived.
The first clue, other than the huge amount of crap in my spam folder, was the fact that China out pinging the U.S. with hits, closely followed by Russia.
Over time the spam has decreased, but the pings are still showing up.
I'm realistic enough to realize that I don't have this many followers in these countries.
So what's up?
I'm curious.
Later, Peeps!
