I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays! I know I did . . . to the tune of a TWO POUND GAIN!
UGH!!
Total weight loss is 36.4 pounds. Grrrr....
I planned to write this week about muscle/bone physiology, physics and purpose of training correctly to explain body mechanics, the how and why our bodies function like they do. But that will have to wait until next week, since I have been enjoying myself by eating too much of the wrong foods.
The first thing to think about is what caused this weight gain--
--was it lack of portion control?
--lack of sufficient fruits and veggies?
--lack of appropriate exercise?
--lack of proper hydration?
--the king sized box of Hot Tamales, Jujy Fruits or Haribo gummi bears?
--the numerous pieces of lemon cake over a three day period?
Yeah . . . If I had been tracking I could have told you what it was. But I could hazard a pretty good guess it was the last two items on my list. I did exercise daily and drink all my water, the rest of the list, er . . . not so good.
Now it's time for reaffirmation!
I will exercise every day!
I will eat at least 5 portions of fruits and veggies every day!
I will drink at least 6 glasses of water daily, not other fluids, but WATER!
I will track my food, documenting everything that goes into my mouth!
I will watch my portions, weighing and measuring to calculate my points!
AND I WILL SET A SHORT TERM GOAL FOR THE NEXT THREE MONTHS.
I WILL LOSE THOSE LAST TEN POUNDS TO REACH MY GOAL WEIGHT!!
There, I wrote it and so it shall be.
Do you have a short term goal??
