Crafty Kidlet

Not sneaky, but into making crafts. We have two large plastic boxes full of stuff. Periodically she goes on a crafty binge and we end up with glitter glue over everything.

Recently, after attending a birthday party, the kidlet got hooked on colored duct tape. Here are some of her products.

It's hard to see the detail so I'll have to describe it. The zebra purse has braided handles.
This purse has pouches inside, this pouch holds her 'credit cards' and money. On the bottom inside, there are three small pockets. When she showed us what she did, she had it stuffed with bandaids, Neosporin and lip gloss (the round hole).
This is her zebra wallet. It has a slot for her dollar bills and the front slits are for her 'credit cards'.
And after she was finished making the purses, she made a zebra bracelet and ring.

The next day, we had some deliveries and so we had a few cardboard boxes--which usually end up as houses for her stuffed critters. Yes, that's duct tape around the edges.  She also had a green sheet of felt that she used as a grass carpet for her puppy. In the back, where you can't see it, she has a round window with a plastic 'window'.

When she builds these houses, she doesn't just make the outside pretty, she also draws pictures to frame on the inside of the doggy apartment. Uh, I couldn't take more pictures because Scruffy was sleeping  . . . even though it was daylight. He must have been working night shift.
This is a picture of the puppy she wants. And yes, the bow is part of her 3-D picture.

For the most part, we don't mind her craftiness, but we do have to put limits as to how long we will hold onto some of her stuff.

I think we kept the 'blender' that she made for about six months. Sorry, I don't have a picture of it.

Anyway, that's my crafty kid for you. School is starting today and I don't think she'll have much time for crafts with school, homework and swim practice.

But for some reason, I don't think that will stop her over weekends.

Later, Peeps!
