When the family is out of town I always have these grandiose ideas of things I'll get done.
Yeah, right, let's get real. I couldn't even sleep very well with them gone.
The only thing I did was read (1 1/2 books) and do a couple of loads of laundry.
Oh, and had my third MRI in 10 days. This one was for my neck. Either today or Monday, the doc will call and refer me to a neck guy and we'll go from there.
I'm still walking, but just the weight of my swinging arm pulls on the shoulder. Toward the end of my walk, I looked like all those men in the old paintings.
Yep, that's one. Bonaparte
Everyone thought he was holding his hand to keep warm or scratch himself, but I figured it out.
He had a torn rotator cuff and that was the only way to keep the pressure off his shoulder.
I know the truth!
Today, the family comes home. I'll pick up hubs at the airport before noon, and then we'll get the kidlet mid-afternoon.
Then I'll have loads of stinky laundry, no peace and quiet around the house, and tons of stuff to do that I didn't do while they were gone.
Ah . . . this is the life with everything back to normal.
I love it!
Later, Peeps!
Hmm, if I were alone in the house for an extended period of time, I would 1) paint; 2) throw away all the stuff Bob won't let me throw away when he's here; 3) eat macaroni (gluten-free) and cheese three times a day; and 4) read.
ReplyDeleteI'd for sure do 3 and 4.
I've been reading constantly, and I was naughty by going to Taco Bueno. Naughty Maggie!
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm here alone, I keep thinking I'll get all those boxes in the closets unpacked. They've stayed for this long a few more days won't hurt. :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry about your shoulder.
I had a wonderful time just reading. I had time-travel. I had Highlanders. And I had magic.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless Janet Chapman!
