Rest in Peace, Rocky

When we got Rocky
Our beloved guinea pig passed away last night. He will be missed.

  1. Poor Rocky. You have my sympathies.

  2. Thanks, Edie. He was a good little pig. He hopped over for me to pet his head before I took Rach to swim practice . . . he died right when we got to practice, @ 15 minutes later.

    It's been a rough year, losing two fuzzy critters . . .

  3. That's a long life for a hamster, isn't it?

Rocky had a great life! But you get a big (((hug))) from me.

  4. So sorry, Margie. Even the littlest of furry creatures take up a big space in our lives.

  5. Cyndi--our last pig lived to be over 8 years old. Expected life span is 6-8 years, so Rocky was on the younger side. Up until a few days ago he was fine, though he did start feeling 'old age boney' where he wasn't as fat/muscled as he had been.

  6. Thanks, Jody. All the little critters in our lives make a difference.
. . . speaking of which, how is Mr. Kato's doppleganger doing?

  8. Thanks, Meg. He was such a good little pig, we really miss him. I'm just glad I had the chance to pet on him right before he died. He even came over to see me, which is touching and sad at the same time.
