Where, Oh Where, Has My Motivation Gone?

*BUZZ*

I can't seem to get anything done this week. I don't know why not, and I'm willing to take any suggestions. Here are my ideas:

1) Hubster has been sick. Everytime he coughs, the whole bed shakes. Last night he finally took a combination of drugs that allowed him to sleep, though he still snored. But, of course, I kept waking up--and I'm not sick!

2) Spring break is next week. And there are tons of things to get done. Plus we have a house sitter, so along with making certain everything is in order and ready to go--and we have to clean house.

3) Suddenly health conscious hubster wants us to eat in the condo more on the trip. Any idea who gets to plan, pre-make, and pack the aforementioned meals?? Hm?

4) Laundry. Self explanatory

5) Kiddo has a soccer game on Saturday. In the middle of all the craziness of packing, cleaning, etc. we have to take her to her game. Maybe it will be a good break.

6) Today's Friday the 13th. I'm sure that has something to do with this.

7) I'm just not feeling right--maybe it has been the lack of java in my diet.

8) Guess who mother nature is laughing at right now? Come on, guess. Yeah, and she is being a real bitch this month. I just want to curl up in a ball and die. How many people WISH menopause would hurry up and claim her?! Yep, I'm one of them.

Nope. Got nothin' to end on.

  1. All that AND the Daylight Savings Monster, Margaret. I'm willing to bet that even though you don't go to a day job, you still get up, get daughter ready and out the door, hubster ready and out the door, exercise and write.
    Right?
I've had the drags all week. It's DSM. (Sadly, I'm not going skiing this year. Just wait until next!)

Well, yeah, I still get up at 6 and do all that. Damn, you're good, Susan! I never once thought about DSM.

We missed skiing last year, so we're excited about it this year. You need to get healthy again before you ski. No sense in injuring an already tender area!

  3. Big hugs, Margaret. You'll feel energized when you get back from Spring Break. Tell your husband if you have to do all the meals and meal planning, this isn't going to be a break for you. :(

  4. Thanks, Edie!
We'll get there. Right now, I'm the designated pre-vacation worrier. Once we're on the road he'll take over!

  5. I'll give you the advice you gave me. Set the writing aside right now. Do what life is demanding...get ready for vacation.

The snoring husband + DSM = exhaustion. Just is.

  6. Thanks, Cyndi!
I'm concentrating on getting stuff together for vacation and don't have anything else on my mind.
--oh, except that they are FINALLY delivering our furniture TODAY after 6 months of waiting.
    Don't ask--it'll make a good blog post.
