Today is Christmas Eve. All the candy is made and passed out to family and friend. The meals are all planned. The shopping is finished. Presents are wrapped in pretty paper and tied into bondage with ribbon--gotta keep the kiddo from opening them, don't I?
All that is left is to attend mass and rediscover the true meaning of Christmas as children reenact the nativity scene. I love this part of the service, but it does make for one crowded place!
I wish you and yours the very best Christmas filled with health, happiness, and the peace of being together as a family.
Take time from writing and ENJOY!
I'm one of those that really dread Christmas. I think because of all the expectations. You want everything to be perfect, and it never is. Just like this year...I got my kids laptops(they were having a deal at DELL), ordered and received them a month ago. But just this last Friday I open em up to wrap...one is broke. GRRS! The new one is supposed to be here today, but I have serious doubts it will be. And my dog ate the stocking candy and the Christmas present that my son bought me.(it was candles and smelled like cookies) GRRS, again.
ReplyDeleteokay-- there's my rant...but I will miss you at RWI and I do hope you have a wonderful holiday!!
*much hugs* Ashlynn
